This suggests the Patriarch may have had something to do with their appearance, as he has been known to steal and repurpose Horzine tech in the past. he does not have his impale attack.Despite not being zeds, they can spawn along with them and only come after the players. A single rocket direct impact or a Hunting Shotgun blast can take him out. His chainsaw attack is also slightly weaker than it is in 2.0 and 2.5. The Scrake appears very similar to how he looks in 2.5, but has a much more disfigured and dirty face, along with a browner outfit. The Scrake first appeared in Killling Floor 1.0. A single blast will knock a Scrake far enough that it'll take him a while to get back. Shotgun blasts can help keep away Scrakes. If the Scrake has taken any damage, a Winchester headshot will kill him in one hit. A headshot from a Sharpshooter-boosted Winchester will decapitate him and briefly stun him, making it easy to finish him off with another shot. If you don't have a Hunting Shotgun, a Sharpshooter with a Winchester can easily take down a Scrake. If a Scrake gets close, they can kill even a player with 100 health and Armor very quickly. Even though Scrakes are easy to kill, don't get cocky near them and ignore them for too long.Having someone quickly take out Scrakes can help get rid of Sirens and Crawlers faster.

Scrakes often serve as meatshields for weaker but more dangerous enemies, like the Siren and Crawler.LAW rockets are better off used on enemies like the Fleshpound and Siren. The sheer amount of damage from a single blast will destroy the Scrake with ease.
